A POSITIVE INFLUENCE...

Im sitting in my Junk-it room, isolated from the real world, in the bliss of silence, ready for a blizzard in my winter woollens, not even my dog Toby dares to speak...

There is dripping , from the pathetic drizzle they call rain, and it is still seeping in, slowly making its way along the window sill, and then down the wall to a very wet patch on my carpet!
Can I tell you the aroma this damp , closed ,cold room is filled with??
But on a positive note....I had a wonderful day yesterday out junking, filling the ute, filling the trailer, twice, had a blast!

It is amazing what a positive influence all this junking therapy has on me!
My family are either asleep, or out doing their thing, and Im in here doing my thing, my life as a junker is complete...

Here are some of my many collections, which are a positive influence on me. One of my very first collections are my cows, I just love them, especially the brown and cream jersey cows! You may see one in each of my photos...

Doilies, blue jugs, mannequins, tassles, the list goes on....

I love birdhouses too, and have them scattered around the garden and in the house!

' TIME DOES FLY!! '

Wooohooo!! It is my eldest daughter's birthday, they come around so fast!! At the age of three, she fell in love with Darryl Braithwaite, and his song "Horses". Can you believe she just saw him perform on 'It takes Two ', and he sang that song!!! What a birthday present!!!

After a huge baked dinner, mud cake, custard, and marshmallows, we all just went our separate ways to just ponder on what we just ate, basically we are stuffed and cant even form a conversation!

So I thought rather than wait for Coll to nag me again, I'll get in first and show you my recent additions to ebay...
Talk about blasts from the past!! I just love these 'click clack' lounges, I grew up with something very similar, and they match my

kitchen, but I just dont have the room....
This 1950's buffet is just so cute, and I treated it with some fresh paint, new burst of life, wait for it, a "shabby transition", now that's what Im talkin 'bout!!!
No seriously, I caught up on soooo much today, so do check out my ebay items, and enjoy the rest of the week.

LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES....

I dont want to sound like a whinger, but if it didnt rain at my house for a few months I would be happy!
I have had rain pouring in on my verandahs, yes you know ,the ones with all the junk on them? And my studio / dumping ground out the back isnt much better! As soon as the sun comes out, I forget about the leaks, until next time....The past few days, I havent acheived much, no painting, no cleaning, no sewing, time has stood still!
But today is a new day, the sun is shining, the cockies are screeching, and Im ready for action. So keep nagging me Coll (Collsgarden), it might just get me going!

'DISTRACTION', its a good thing, isnt it??

Well if you have read my last post, then you would understand, at this point any distraction is a good thing, especially when you know that once you start to clean one area, you are going to have to clean another to make room for the first lot of junk you need to find a space for!!!
So thankyou to my dear friend ,who handed over this gem for me to play with!!
It is an old industrial sewing machine and table, with accessories...the cotton reel holder may have to move to another table of mine!
So this is the 'before', keep watching, and you might see the 'after'! I'll see how long I can hold off clearing my verandah for....its too cold to be outdoors now anyway, right???
