THE THINGS WE DO!!!

As if this time of the year isnt busy enough, we are at the family's beck and call! The 'things we do' for family....
My hubby has family spread around the UK, but more specifically, Queensland. So a family reunion was arranged, and we just had to be part of it!

12 hours later, and we were in Brisbane! Road trips arent like they used to be, the kids are almost adults, and the whining doesnt stop!! Our muscles ache from lack of circluation, and our eardrums are blown out from thumping music, and our voices are hoarse from singing, well yelling to the songs! Great fun had by all!!It was a shame, after one day and two nights, we had to turn around and go home, yes , another 12 hours!! THE THINGS WE DO !!!

We did get to spent 2 hours enjoying the resort ,the morning we were leaving!!

It's been a while since my last blog, basically Im flat chat, mainly with clearing my verandah! Do you know this verandah sarga has been going on since the start of my blogging, I need to move on, and just get it finished...if only I'd stop bringing things home! With only 3 and a bit weeks to go till chrissy, Im thinking my family may have to sit out in the lane on xmas day!

The past week, I have been reducing my 'baby boy' Toby's medication ( my dog), and he is doing so well.He stayed at my parents' house while we were away, and had a ball!

Well not much more to say, except' Rain rain , go away!! I have had enough!!Though I have to say, everything is looking so green, oh we're never happy, too hot, too wet....

Here are some of my latest listings on ebay....

How many days??

My daughter informed me there were only about 48 days till christmas...

I know we have 365 days to prepare for the next one, and we shouldnt complain that we are running out of time, to shop, decorate, and create, but time just flies too fast, dont you think?

I remember consciously making an effort to start on this xmas early January, what happened?

Maybe I should make double of everything now, then I'll be ahead for next Chrissy!

I have in my possession, these beautiful chairs, which I am going to sell eventually, but I thought Id show you one I have already finished.Im so happy with it, and have listed it on ebay for tonite. Sometimes we can be lucky to find such treasures, and I was lucky enough to 'trade' these with something I was about to sell.

I accidently put my hand up to have christmas here with all my family, in total, 20 people. Each year, it is a special time for us to bag each other out, laugh, swim, drink, eat, and catch up on trivia. But this year, I thought I'd have a theme. So I have made it 'HATS'.

I sent out invites yesterday, with a one of a kind poem,( if you dont know how bad my poetry is, check out one of my old posts, its bad!

They each have to decorate a hat, make one from scratch, and there will be a prize.Obviously, it needs to be christmassy!

So, as you can imagine, my mind is racing with ideas to decorate my verandah, when it is cleared from all my junk, and what about my hat?Any suggestions??Maybe i could decorate it in chrissy "junk", mmm, need to think about this one....

Sue's garden...

Well ,I'd like to say it is mine Im talking about but......
A couple of posts ago, I spoke about my dear friend Sue. She is a wonderful gardener, and very proud I might add! I kept asking her to send me some photos to show all of you,but sometimes if you want something, you have to do it yourself!

So here are some special photos of her pride and joy...

Everywhere you look, there is something of interest, and they all have a story or two! Most of her creative touches are recycled, and unusual.

I stayed there for the weekend, and Sunday we went for a drive for an hour and a bit, down to Berry for a quick visit, mainly to browse the markets. I still cant come to terms with coming home empty handed, but It was my day for browsing, so no specials to show you!!

Sue's mum came along, and we watched the Scottish band with their bagpipes, and had a beautiful lunch. I dont get down to Berry too often, but always feel Ive been on a little holiday, and this one was definitely little, about 3 hours , but definitely worth it!This lady was Heidi, and had a unique craft! Her next stall will be at Richmond, on the 8th Dec.I just love the shower on the left!

Sue's neighbour's chook took up residence in the pram, and is now waiting for her babies to hatch!

Whilst taking photos of Sue's garden, this cheeky cockatoo kept following me, it lines up with her chooks to be fed most days!

These chooks live the good life, check out their home!
Im so pleased to share Sue's garden with you, I hope you enjoyed it!
