Ok, just one more....

Not bad for a 15 minute job!!!It's amazing what you can do with a hot glue gun!!

This is Sue's and my hat, of course Sue's is a christmas floral theme...

There werent as many competitors as I would have liked, some just wore a santa's hat!

So the winner is......

(Not the best photo, it was very well done.)

"Judy" , Sue's mum,

who unfortunately couldnt be with us, as she was sick in bed with the flu!

My dad also was absent, although out of hospital, was too ill to be with us in person, it was certainly different without them.

Ok, so another day of celebrating today, then we move on to a.....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Enjoy!

Last post for 2007!

Well this week has flown, what with christmas lunches, chit-chat, and laughs, it has been just great!! I havent gotten much work done, but I feel like Ive put on 5 kgs!

I suppose it is comes with the festive season, eating, drinking, sitting around....oh life doesnt get much better!

I had a great lunch on Thursday with some well known bloggers, Shannon (paintminepink), Julie (Julesworld), and Coll (Collsgarden). A delight to be with, boy they can talk!! They have all been very good to me, buying things from my ebay store,so thanks girls, you have been helping to put food on the table!!

Sadly my father is in hospital with a bug, he will hopefully be released Xmas eve evening. He will probably feel a bit weak for a few days, no rich chrissy food or drinks for him! So Christmas Day is having a new venue for us, no longer my home, as it is too far for my parents to travel, now it is at my sister's down the coast.....

If anyone has been reading my blogs, you will know the build up to this day has been huge for me, as it has meant weeks, days, and many hours, of cleaning, packing and storing, and of course decorating on my verandah to make it possible for a festive day with 20 family members!

Im just pleased my dad will be out for the big day, it doesnt matter where, as long as we all get together.

My eldest daughter has taken advantage of this, and had a party last nite with her friends, christening the verandah we havent see for 18 months!
So I thought Id share some embarrassing photos of our wonderful verandah which we havent been able to use, not really sure why!!

Here are the before photos, yeh I know, unbelievable!! Who would have thought that it could look like this!

And now, to show you the 'just about' cleared space we found....these were taken today, after the big party, I just cleared it, and hosed! It survived to thankfully show the pictures! There are a few things I just couldnt fit anywhere, so they are disguised with fabric, can you tell? A few people have asked where I have put all the 'Junk' that was here, I dare not open the shed down the back, or my studio!!

Toby and I, and my family, would like to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas, with plenty of laughter, joy, and pressies! And here is to a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. I hope everyones wishes and New Years resolutions come true, see you in 08!! Xxxxxxx

He is a bit partied out in this photo, he ate so much, drank so much, and didnt get a wink of sleep, no one did!!! I had to give him a bath, he stunk of beer!
P.S. I am making my xmas hat tomorrow, nothing like leaving it till the last minute! So I will post it then, toodles!

Christmas Greetings!!!

Keep watching....I have a surprise at the end of the week!!!

7.12.07

Well, it's a tree.....

Ok, so I found a tree, not "THE" tree, but at this point in time, I cant afford to be fussy!! As my friend Jenni suggests, look for a good one in the sales after chistmas!

Up until last year, my three kids and I would decorate the tree together, play the music, and sing along...it seems Im left standing, alone. My daughter attempted to, then went out, my son started, but then went and watched something on tv, and my other daughter isnt interested in anything!

So...I have the presents under the tree, waiting for the big day!

I went to the library to use the computer the other day, ours was affected by all the storms we have been having. Anyway, my daughter and I havent been there since she was in her first year of high school, 8 years ago! That was when we had the internet connected!
It was interesting to look around, and we ended up borrowing some books, of course, I had to get a new library card!

mmm...How will she clean out her new fridge without getting messy!!!

I found this fantastic book, I just have to show you...some of the things are hilarious! It was good reading for all the family!!

Yes, weight has always been a problem!

...and B.O !!LOL

I have just added some more to ebay, hoping for some last minute sales before the big day!

Keep an eye out for my next post, if it is the last thing I do for the year, I will show you my complete verandah, spick and span, never to become a storage area again! Well '08 is a new year, we'll see!

Oh Christmas tree, oh christmas tree, where art thou christmas tree???

Well, Christmas has taken hold in this home, and it is here to stay, well at least for a while!!

A little bit here, and a little bit there, and with the help of all the Christmas movies on tv and the department store music and decs, I think we are getting in the spirit...

My "Hat" theme for Christmas day is also coming together, here is just a peek! Sue if you are reading this , then 'STOP', right now! We cant have you copying now can we??
My girls have been busy and creative...
I havent started mine yet, but this is what I have to work with! This one is hubby's hat, I know he wont make one!
My son is making one at school, so I wont see his till Chrissy!

The only thing that is left, is to find the perfect xmas tree. I have had real ones, I have had plastic ones, they have all ended up in the tip! Any suggestions for this year?? It needs to be simple, gorgeous, and tall...now there's a challenge! MMMM, 'man' comes to mind....only jokin????

I can see half my verandah now , Toby is loving it, and that's all Im going to say, yay!

If only the sun would shine, for just a couple of days, enough to decorate outside, oh and clean up all my junk!

This is what I have been busy working on lately, my friend Jenni and I bought this siteshed when we started our business together a couple of years ago. We have decided to sell it now, and you can check it out in my ebay store. Im a bit reluctant to part with it now, it looks too good!

I dont have the aussie christmas bush growing here, but I have the New Zealand christmas bush, its gorgeous, and not as messy! It is in the ground, otherwise I might have used 'it' to decorate this year.
