More Easter, bring it on!!

Just when you think you have got 'it ' under control, they keep calling out for you," Sue, Sue, we're over here!" No, Im not going mad, just forgetful, that's why hubby calls me Dory....(that's another story)!

Where were all of these gorgeous pictures of bunnies and eggs last year, and all the other years??? They were in my filing cabinet, under "E", for EASTER!!!!

How gorgeous are they!!!

Delicious work of art...

Im still going through sorting magazines to part with, which means alot of reading, researching, and cups of tea!! I know, someone has to do it , it is the least I can do, afterall, I did buy them, and I feel I should check each and everyone of them, just to be sure they are ok to sell....
In all honesty, I have been so obsessed with them, that in some cases, I have two of the same mag, and they cost about $17 to buy, I call it dedication!

Anyway, I know Im not alone when I say, I have kept a picture or two, of 'to do' projects to craft or make for the home...

I open up the top drawer of my '4' drawer filing cabinet, and flick through my many categorized files, and come across 'miscellaneous'. I have no idea what could be in there....

Just take a look at this gorgeous edible cake, made from many cupcakes!!! It is a wedding cake someone made, and with the adorable butterflies!!

I thought it would be a treat for all of the cupcake followers and makers out there. It could be made for any occasion, christenings, birthdays,Easter or just because! Maybe one day, I might tackle it for a special occasion...I might have to start a new file, 'Delicious works of art'!

Now that's dedication!!!

Leaps and bounds!!

Easter is coming, Easter is coming!!

Firstly, I have to mention my banner. I found this huge egg years ago, and every year I bring it out for the Easter Bunny to fill with delicious eggs...he used to leave a trail through the house, and sometimes in the fridge, and in our bedrooms! And then there were the easter egg hunts, I had to lock Toby up for those!! Oh, and I cant forget the 'bunny masks', made from paper plates, my friend Sue made us wear all through lunch one year....
You can see how they have pieced it together

But the last couple of years have been pretty quiet, apart from a family get-together,most of the kids are in their teens!

It is still nice to catch up,and being a bit earlier this year, the weather might be good to us.
Bib and card sets
It was quite an eye opener for me, after cleaning my studio last week, and then having it ambushed by 14 fourteen year olds,( my son's birthday bash ), and then cleaning it again!! I found some things I used to sell via a cafe and gift shop, until they closed down. These were fun to make, and sold really well, so I thought I'd make some more to sell on ebay, and markets. There is nothing like seeing a baby 'bunny'!
One piece suits
Cards
I also have been working on some other things and will show you soon...afterall we have about 6 weeks, but doesnt it go quick??

Side- tracked!

I have been spending this weekend cleaning out my studio.... it has been leaking, and more recently with the massive storms we have been having, water is seeping in through the floor!

Yes I know, it is helping with the 'drought', and all 'that', but the rain actually leaves me no choice but to do some much needed organising, sorting, and chucking, which is a good thing! Did I say chucking, yes, I do need to discard some things. Do you find when cleaning, you get side-tracked, and find yourself flicking through books, looking at photos, and your mind fills with a million ideas?? Or is that just me?? It has taken me hours to just move some things around!

I started going through my fabrics, and then straighted and rolled laces and ribbons. Then I moved furniture on the verandah, and hung curtains.....As far as the leaks go, the sun will come out soon, and I will forget to fix them, again! 'The balancing act'!

Well Im home alone today, so no excuses! An organised workplace means an organised mind, so they say!!

MAGNETISM...

Magnetism....well that's what Im calling it!!

From a previous post I wrote a while ago, I mentioned that sometimes whilst out junking, and minding my own business, for no apparent reason, certain things just keep on jumping out at me! After a good minute, or maybe 10 seconds, I take it as a sign, Im meant to take them home!

With all this talk of silverware, do I really need more? I am having fun decorating it, but can it be an overkill? Well, apparently not, cause now I have all this to deal with!!

Though they are lovely, and hopefully will be more lovely after their transformation....

Here are some of my fav photos, they make the day seem brighter!

It has been raining here nonstop for a few days now. My water tanks are over flowing, my lawn has turned to mush, the plants are drooping, the pond is overflowing, and Toby smells like wet dog, and refuses to do his business anywhere but the sheltered, and dont forget cleared, verandah! Oh, did I mention cleared?? Well with all the rain, Ive had to work somewhere! Lets hope it doesnt end up like before, again!!

Im busy scamming up some projects at the moment, so while Im feeling enthusiastic...back to it!

Book of Inspiration....

This is my all time favourite book, well for the last few years anyway! I bought it at a garage sale for 20 cents, and just adore it!
It has beautiful verses of friendships, and pictures to die for...

The book was published in 1961, USA. What a wonderful find!! They are too gorgeous to admire on my own, so I thought I would use them in some of my creations!
I found this little verse, perfect for a dear friend...

Brows may wrinkle,hair grow gray,
But friendship never knows decay.

I just finished another tray and I am listing it on ebay tonite, pictured with some more from the book, the colours are devine!
