It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day!!

Is that how the song goes??

Well maybe if we sing it enough, the sun might find its way here!
But Im not going to whinge, I have had a great couple of days in the 'fossicking JUNK' kind of way!

I found these gorgeous treasures, and as usual, I think someone is going to have to pry them out of my hands! I just want them all, and Im sure I need them....but where will they fit? Arent these flowers just to die for, they look so delicious!

The retro ashtray stand , the light fittings, the candle holder and plate, will be listed tonite on ebay.

I found this basket of frames calling me from the bottom of a shelf..some have a gorgeous old picture in them.

The large lampshade could do with some trims, it is quite vintage, and fragile. The suitcase is a cutie, and will go with my collection to store more fabrics!

I couldnt wait to wash these and see them clean, even if it is raining! This gorgeous dress will be wonderful to use for pieces, and the curtains are for my bathroom. The huge piece of flannel is for projects ahead.Yes I know it was a sheet, but now it is fabric!

After I had my 'fix' with junk, I ventured out into the garden, to see who likes the rain, and who doesnt, coming from a nongardener, this will be interesting!I do love the look of the garden when it is wet, the colours are so vibrant, even the weeds look good!

Well everyone is leaving me this weekend, a nice break had by all Im sure, except Im left without a car......I have no choice but to be creative all weekend!

Have a good one !!!

P.S.I was playing around with my blog template, what do you think?? I wont tell you how much I cursed at it, when I lost all my fav blogs! Oh what joy!

Update...

Lately I have 'names' pouring out of my head ! I still havent any idea what to name my home, but Ive managed to name my studio,"Junkstudio on KARABAH".The plea is still out there, if anyone can think of something...

So I have decided to change my store name on ebay, just so there arent too many out there to confuse!

The studio is progressing nicely, and keeping me busy, I will post some pics soon.

Have a great day!!

In another world....

Today was very productive, as far as creativity is concerned. I had a late start, but then I just couldnt stop! I went into another world, and this is what I created!

I sometimes dont have any plans, I just throw it all together, and see what happens! So Im not really sure what you would call this first one above, but it looks romantic, and has been made with vintage lace, pearls and trimmings and it says the word "LOVE", which we all love!

It seems I was on a 'letter' theme , Ive had them lying around for a while, waiting for ideas to flood in. Well they came today!

"DREAM" would have to be my favourite word, I am such a dreamer, awake and asleep!

"HOME" means alot to me, well it is where the 'heart' is!

I'll be listing them on ebay soon if interested, and will also take orders.

Have a good day!!!

Are you ever too old?

Well apparently !!

When my son was born over 14 years ago, I knew I wanted to decorate his room with the theme, Noah's Ark.He had a few items, photo frame, plaque, quilt cover, a hanging quilt I made, and a large cushion.

But after a while, I started to notice a couple of new friends had moved in, bears. I didnt think much of it, at first, but they gradually multiplied!

A COLLECTION HAD FORMED, right before our eyes!

As the years went by, more bears appeared, and before long, my son was handing over the Noahs Ark ,for the bears!

A couple of years ago, the Bears all moved up to the shelf in the wardrobe, with Noah for safe keeping.

Today, my son came to me with a box full! He needs the space for bike gear, posters," you know, general teen stuff", he tells me......this is a day I wont forget!

Actually, Im sure he wanted to do it years ago, but knew it would upset me. He's gone to the dark side...

Of course I will keep these, I mean, it is a collection that just grew on its own, it has to stay. Maybe he'll get them back when he has his own children, in 20 years!!

What's in a house name?

I have been living in my little burb in the Blue Mountains for 10 years now, and have wanted to name my house, but cant decide......something to represent 'us'!

We have moved many times, but I think we have settled here. So the name 'Settle Downe' came to mind.I have a large settle bench on my verandah, so I thought it was appropriate. Ten years later, and still no name. Occasionally I jot things down like, Walkonby. We live on a lane, and people often wander past.

It's time to just decide, but I need help, and any suggestions would be great! I thought I better give you a few snippets of interest to help you...

* I live on a corner of a lane.

*We are surrounded by Mulberry and Jacaranda trees.

*I have a rather large front garden, weeds roam freely!

*My house number cant be seen from the road.

Please help support the "Home with no name" Appeal!

With all your suggestions, I will choose one of the names, and post a photo of it up in lights!!

SO THINKING CAPS ON!!
