I seem to be oblivious to what I buy these days...how is it I have another collection I was unaware of?
Who would have thought I liked these?
I dont even remember buying most of them.I bought the little 'green ball' one cause they are my favourite colours...
When Sue was here a couple of weeks ago, she noticed a couple of birds in my home, the decorative kind. She asked if I am collecting them now, and I said no, I dont think so.I mean, Ive always liked them.It got me thinking,so I'll do a count and get back to you on that one!Lol!
Are some people destined to collect, is it in their genes?
Does it come under the hoarding umbrella, or are we in a class of our own?
My family and I were discussing this over Easter, and some people have addictions, whether it be eating, drinking, smoking etc,and some can be addicted to collecting, apparently!
Can I say, much of the conversation was directed at me....( I dont drink, smoke or eat alot, so I guess they were talking about collecting, mmm)
And so the decision has been made...Why wait for Spring, I mean it is Spring somewhere in the world right?
Junkstudio is having a cleanout , a 'Spring clean' in Autumn!
Come on, I might need some help here, some encouragement from you guys! Im out to prove a point here, I can do this...HELP!
Those are just adorable! I do find myself drawn to certain things; next thing you know, it's enough to be a 'collection'. I also need to do some major clean-out; time to get rid of the things piled in my shed for a so-called future project; it's just not going to happen anytime in the near future, so off they go. I tell myself, it's time to let these things be enjoyed by someone else; maybe the space I clear-out will allow me to go shopping again for new collections! ha!
ReplyDeleteThe more collections the better. It is funny how you have a new collection before you're aware of it. I'm in a very small home and have to be very careful of unintentionally starting one. lol. Thank you for visiting junkblossoms. I hope you'll stop in again soon. Blessings, Pat
ReplyDeletei think we just love fun stuff enough to have more than one piece of it. nobody bats an eye if folks shop for too many fancy kitchen things, towels, fancy sheets, functional stuff, candles...blah, blah... but...when you collect vintage potpourri balls, the eyebrows are raised. what is the difference. at least our things are cute and fun. i think those are adorable too. i have sold at least 6 or more in my booths over the years, so i have that same collection addiction that you have...lol. oh well?? we are not alone.
ReplyDeletetake care sue.
Definitely falls under the "hoarding umbrella". But I like the word "collector" myself, because I'm a hoarder too. Hee-hee!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the prayers for my mom. Her “cement“ surgery is today.
