Recycle, reuse, revamp, repurpose, blah, blah, blah!

You get it dont you!

This is the light shade I was given last week, remember?

Well,I found a dress in a charity store a while ago, I chose it for the fabric.

I also had the glass beading, found at a garage sale a few years ago for $2.00. I covered the cord with left over hem of the dress, and hung it up,(by the shoulder straps) to see how it looked.

It needed something so I added this simple flower, a leftover scrap, I had trimmed and almost thrown in the bin!

The only new thing here is the power lead and globe.
It feels good to make something useful and different, and I always surprise myself with the end product!

It is available in the studio tonight, just in time for my sale!
Have a great weekend, chat soon!

  6. Love that shade - I for one am more than happy to see Toby in all his glory by the way! I miss not having a dog and the boys would love it however we are not in a position to have one at present. I had two before the boys were born.
Thanks for your 2 cents worth too. I think I can happily come up with a satisfying solution as to what I will be happy with. Such a disappointment - I SHOULD! have known!! But there is always another way around the problem. Glad I have you bloggy gals to help :)
