Do-er or daydreamer?

Im unfortunately one of those daydreamers...I can daydream for weeks on end!
Im such 'the creator',' the decorator', and 'the stylist'.....in my head!

Dated 2005

I have such vision for my home, I have imagined each room to be harmonious, lovely, and an extension of ourselves. From the window treatments to the flooring, and everything in between, complete and comfortable living.

WHO AM I KIDDING!!!

In reality, I have projects started in every room, never enough time, never enough money, and never enough stamina to see them through till the end!

My latest home project is the main bedroom, hubby's and my domain, or 'the dumping ground'!
Whatever doesnt fit around the house, usually ends up here!

To start...
I bought some photo frames a while ago, and have started making some curtains, and buying some paint, and moving furniture around, and that is it, a standstill!

So this is my last resort, sharing it with you may give me the motivation needed!

If you dont see some updated photos soon, just give me a nudge, Im probably in a corner daydreaming again....
So....are you are do-er, or a daydreamer?

  1. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAA. oh my gosh you are so funny!!
I LOVE the kid's posters on your wall. that makes me laugh!
well...i can take those pretty nighties hanging across your curtain rod and then you won't have to worry about those anymore!!
i am so with you. i have a vision in my head of the way things SHOULD look, but i can't get there either. moving every 2 years doesn't help the situation much, but i do have a chance to purge and start over....but i daydream too!!!
i had a friend that once told me to take EVERYTHING out of a room before painting and redecorating and then put only back in what you want. how hard is that? pretty hard. i haven't done it yet. hahaha.
good luck with your head in the clouds miss sue. i think your room is adorable....and that vintage mattress with the roses is fantastic!!
    take care

  3. Well guess what you're not alone daydreamer! Not to mention too many projects, not enough$. I get it! :) I like to appease myself by thinking how easy it would all be if I had a million dollars to do whatever I wanted. Then I think it might not be as exciting, and would take out alot of the thrifty journey I'm now accustomed to. x

  4. HA! Welcome to the Daydreamers Club! But I think daydreaming is what gives us ideas and creativity; and yes, I think it's time to tackle your room; it's so big! And definitely needs some color on the walls! My DH would never go for the lingerie on the curtain rods - ha! so be thankful there.
Thanks for tagging me last post! Those are some hard questions but I will get to them.....eventually!
    Good luck with the room!

  7. Daydreamers unite! Or is that untie? There are many of us scattered about the world. I think we really do accomplish more than most others, but we can dream up so much that it never all gets done. I look forward to more pics as you progress.
