Yellow Brick Road...

As I walk down the road to my workplace, after an almost hour long drive, I cant help but feel I am walking the 'Yellowbrick Road', surrounded by colour and perfume from these beautiful historic gardens.

 The homes arent too bad on the eye either!

Shame the Wizard isnt at the end to greet me with my wishes!

What makes me smile today...

We have had so much rain the past few months, it is nice to know we are no longer in drought...

And now with the warmer weather, my garden is thriving, including the weeds!!

Taken early this morning...

The Jacaranda trees are in flower, they even make the lawn look pretty!

I didnt realize how dry the ground had become until I looked in an old folder of photos...what a difference!

I still have alot of work to do to finish this garden, but a great 'before and after' so far!

Spring is in the air....everywhere I look around....

My new banner is full of images I see when I look out into my gardens, it's Spring!

Those of you who have followed me for a while, will know Im not much of a gardener, I try, but Sue works her magic most of the time! But the thing I love best about my gardens, despite a bit of neglect, come Spring, and Im rewarded with the biggest smile....flowers bursting everywhere in the warmth of the Spring sun! You cant help but soak it all in, and see all good in the world.....

I have managed to fit a bit of work in whilst daydreaming, and admiring my gardens, and here's another project finished to add to the Studio.

Remember this car load a few weeks ago? It was in amongst these treasures I found, its old life being a bedhead. I kept the original colour, just cleaned it up, sanded it, painted F.A.M.I.L.Y, and then sealed it with a green stain.The hooks I had in my collections, along with the antique door plates and knobs.

Thoughts of the 911 victims and survivors today while smelling the roses....
