Restless and undecisive is me....

So much going on right now in my life and in my head!

It's times like this I become so overwhelmed with the tasks at hand, that I dont accomplish much at all, it is a real struggle to push through ...
Does anyone else feel like this too?

I shouldnt complain , I will be off on a sundrenched island very soon, chillaxing, eating lots of seafood, and drinking lots of cocktails....but there is a bit of pressure to finish off assessments, projects, and jobs before I go.

Hmmm, Ive lost your sympathy right now havent I!

We have also had family events, my sons graduation, my daughters 25th Birthday, and helping out my parents, which has been fun.

In the middle of it all, I decided to switch the living space around, and make it more functional for everyone, oh and always trying to make more room!

I have this alcove which for many years housed this configuration of shelving and cupboard, but in my struggle  journey to simplify, I have sold/given alot of my collections away, and really just wanted some basic shelving for photos, books and a few bits of memorabilia.

With no time to make shelving at present, I decided to add legs to my favourite drawers, and feature them in the alcove for a while.

I love these, and have used them for years filled with mags, candles, all sorts! I love timber, and have it everywhere, but Im feeling these are quite dark, and am close to reaching for a paint brush!

There's always lots to do around here, I probably create more than there needs to be, but for us creative people, though sometimes annoying, it is to be expected!

And then there were four.....

Well hello fellow junkers...

We are going through some changes here lately, and  starting with the middle child flying the coop, literally!

After graduating her flight attendant course, and then landing a job with Qantas, it was time for her to find a place near work. So she now resides in the city, when she isnt flying!

But it doesnt stop there....Our eldest daughter is house hunting down the coast, in preparation for Uni next year!

The girls always seem to do things around the same time, so it is a double whammy!

Hopefully our son will hang around a little longer, I dont think I could take all of them leaving at once...

I guess keeping busy with work has helped, but the emotions are all over the place, and thoughts of the future are hovering.

So, as Christmas and the New Year roll around, it is a time to refocus, rethink, and  reflect on the past year. Every year justs comes around that little bit quicker....it seems there are never enough hours, days and weeks to fit everything and everyone in!

After the last sale here in the studio on Saturday, I will be finishing off orders, and slowing down to a walking pace till the New Year.

But for now, full steam ahead!

I'll be back next week to share some pics from the sale, and I feel some specials coming on, in the website, to finish the year out!!!

Coastal roadtrip...

This weekend was filled to the brim with work, friends, and family, it happens like that sometimes doesnt it, all at once!
I managed to squeeze in a movie with a couple of good friends, Eat,Pray,Love, which was just wonderful!

But Sunday was a standout for me, some time on my own...
Dont you just crave it sometimes?
I visited my parents down the south coast, had a yummy lunch, then I was off for my drive in solitude.

I had thought about fitting in some junking, but I was more interested in doing some seawatching. Living in the mountains makes me yearn the ocean breeze, the sounds of the waves, the smell of the salt, and the sand between my toes!

After a short stop of people watching, photo snapping, and sitting amongst these blue bottles, I then moved onto higher ground.

I walked along this fabulous bridge, admiring the huge ocean, and the rock shelves exposed with the lower tide...

To my surprise, I had found some junk, personal, unusual, and everlasting, until the rust eats them away completely!

Isnt it interesting how people find a way to put their stamp on something?
I love this idea, and am thinking one day I may put my own on this bridge! They were all the way along, and had their own special message.

I decided to go even higher, and head for the hills, better still, that mountain you see with lots of tiny cars on top!

And here I was, looking back at the bridge, and the drive past my sisters home amongst the cluster on the beach!

Hang gliders galore!

I bought an icecream, sat and observed, like through a childs eyes. Though it was extremely windy, it was perfect conditions for these silent flyers, it gave me peace within.

An hour went by, and it was time to go home.

We all went our separate ways this weekend, but all came together last night to tell our tales.

And now?? It's a new day, and Im off to work!

Catcha soon, with some new updates on the studio...

A trip down to Berry was much needed and shared with a few girls!

Our favourite nursery, and little Annie, the youngest of 'the girls', (Tina's youngest)

We stayed in Tina's family's holiday house, on the lake, a stone throw from Berry's town, and lots of cows!

Simplicity, tranquility, friends, wine, what more could a girl want!!!

From my family to yours,

Happy Easter

I will be back after the break, enjoy!
